Had to wake up the 5.3L a little for some more umph when pulling the new camper trailer. This woke it up A LOT!!!

Around town is still about the same. I haven't pulled the trailer for a long distance yet to get a feel for milage. But I will put it to the test over Memorial Day weekend when we visit our property in South Dakota :burnout: |
Nice, does it pick up air from under the bumper? :)
|
sweet, is that the whipple charger?
|
Nice :burnout:

That is sweet, how much boost is that putting out?
Whats the HP/Tq increase? Did you install it yourself? Was it pretty straight forward? And last question, if you don't mind me asking, whats the price tag on that set up? |

1] Right at 6 psi at WOT 2] I haven't had it on th edyno yet, but Whipple claims 425 HP and just under 500 ft/lb at the rear wheels. Those numbers are close to sea level, I am at 5500'. 3] I did the install. It took about 8 hours, but was really straight forward and easy to do. I just took my time. 4] I probably could have replaced the 5.3L with a 6.0L for less money, but this way I still have the economy of teh 5.3L with more poweer than the 6.0L. I pull my 5000# travel trailer (10,300# total truck & trailer) with ease, cruise at 70 MPH at around 11.5 MPG. I love it!! |
Is that the Twin-Screw design?
Does it make any noise while driving (whistling)? |
