2002 Silverado 4x4 Frame Conversion

1 Attachment(s)
Hey all....

I am attached with my first truck (2002 Silverado 4.8L 2WD) and I knew it was the right choice for me but after experiencing a few years on the wintery roads in Canada I have looked at the option of selling and buying a newer 4x4. Thing is, I cant. I am attached to the truck and these trucks nowadays are expensive and the insurance is crazy except for what I am driving now. I have came to the conclusion that doing a 4x4 frame swap would be of my best interest.
What all do I need to do as far wiring in the 4x4 buttons into the dash or even using the manual shift?
I know I'll need a transmission for sure and the t-case/driveshafts will come with the frame. Will it be hard to do? Will I also have to modify my cab in any way?
Looking for all opinions and experience.
Thanks in advance!
