4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
Has anyone recreated/remanufactured the 4 wheel drive operation label that goes on the outside of the glovebox door?
Its for a 1972 Blazer. Thanks in advance for any info. Tbruz |
Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
Check out LMC Truck or Classic Auto Parts. Both of them are here in the KC area, but it seems like one of them has just about every decal possible.

Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
Did the 72's have them even? My 72 Does not, and I don't see any evidence of it ever being there. LMC catalog doesn't list them for 72 or 71

Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
Ordered mine from lmc i do not think they were on 71 or 72 i do remember them on the 67-70

My 72 has an emblem on the glove box door, but it's a CST emblem. |
Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
They were moved inside the glove box in 72-71, on the left side of the rear panel. It was still the same sticker. Hope that helps

I'm thinking the CST option took presidence over the 4x4 emblem if that option was checked off?? |
Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
Good info thanks,
Probably pass on putting one on as its a 1972 with the CST package. Tbruz |

I think this is what you may be looking for. It appears that my 72 may have had this on the inside of the glove box at one time.

Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
Can someone with a 72 and this label inside the glove box post a pic?
Much appreciated. Thanks, Tony |
Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
My 72 dosn't have that emblem. The ones I have seen like that are pre-70's

Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
mine's a 72, and didn't come with that sticker anywhere.

Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
The stickers are seldom seen on the 71'-72's. The transfer case knob had the pattern on it in 71-72. 70' and prior did not have the pattern, thus having the need for the sticker. The 4x4 emblem on the fenders stopped in 70'.

Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
Good info on the labels/transfer case knob.
My 4 speed knob had no pattern on it, originally thouught it was just worn out, This make me think its actually a pre 70 tansfer case knob... Tbruz |
Re: 4 wheel drive label on Glovebox door
Good info on the transfer case knobs/4wd labels; makes sense to not use a label when the pattern is on the knob.
My 4 speed had a perfectly smooth knob, I thought it strange how it had worn off the shift pattern so perfectly. Now I suspect that it was probably a pre 72 tranfer case knob on the tranny shifter. Tbruz |
