Dale here’s a good thread on this topic where we hashed it out: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=579296

It also appears that Flint carried any white cab paint completely around the door window frame for two tone schemes - other plants like Fremont apparently didn’t.

Pete, you are correct on the way Flint painted the tops. They look odd painted all the way around.

Yep... looks like a nice conversion, but as always you gotta go look. It's only a couple of hours from me but I'll just stay home and out of the dog house with the wife.

Joe I need to pay a visit so I can see six example Flint pickups next to six non-Flint pickups and see which paint scheme I prefer :)

You’re welcome anytime!

And I don’t care for the Flint paint scheme, so the only flint truck I have has been “corrected” 😉

$32,900

I like the painted wood bed floor... don't see that very often on a restored truck.

All it needs is a correct steering wheel, other than that it is sweet!

I agree.. that's my kind of patina :). Not many swb originals rolling around with that quality of a body. I would loved to have seen its original bench seat cover - not sure I've ever seen a red 69 Z62 cloth seat... I know what the pattern should look like, but have never actually seen a red one. Perfect truck to NOT restore (except for the seat and a few obvious cosmetic issues like dash pad etc)

Nice looking '71, good documentation. Shouldn't last long, too far away for me.

Wow, that's a nice one. It's real close to me as well. But, it doesn't have a radio, so I'm out

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

It's a nice truck but seems to me a few odd repaint decisions were made when converting to dark olive (dark olive door interiors yet rest of interior remained orig med olive). And while it appears the interior (or most of it) was left the original med olive, when you look at the SPID, you can see yet another (original) shade of med olive under the SPID transparency, as if the rest of the interior was painted some off-shade of med olive. Who knows, I'm kinda scratchin my head though. And maybe I'm going cross-eyed but the Cheyenne emblems look to me to be misplaced on the fenders.

The Cheyenne emblems are Definitely in the wrong spot
