Power windows down and won't go up on 2004 GMC Sierra
Last night I left both of my windows down by accident (guess because we haven't had any rain for weeks??) and 1 1/2 - 2 inches came last night. I spent the afternoon using a Bissell carpet cleaner to suck out the water for seats and carpet.
As I will be going to KC tomorrow morning I proceeded to get it loaded. After fully loading the truck and trailer I will be pulling I hit the buttons to raise the windows. Nothing happened. Started checking fuses / breakers in all three fuse / breaker panels. They all seemed to be functioning - i.e. passing power through them as they should. Next I pulled the switch panel from the driver door and used a hair drier to dry it out. Put switch panel back in but still nothing. I can put a jacket on and drive in the morning anyway, but if it should rain again that could get interesting. Any suggestions about what happened or how to fix it??? Signed Polar Bear to be. |

You may have stuck regulators or the main relay may have quit working. GM had a lot of problems with their power windows. My son had 2 cables break on his truck.
I assume you have solved the problem by now. |

I think I have narrowed down the problem to the control switches themselves. Going to call local salvage place to see if they have a good one. Jay |
