Custom Camper refers to an option package on 1966 (and some 1965) C20s. They have a unique Custom Camper badge on the fender in place of the C20 emblem. See below.

Mine is a littler older. 64 I picked up from family members who used it for a long time. I removed the camper when I picked it up. I have recently removed the 292 and manual trans. (I slightly regret this decision) and replaced a 383 th350. after that I have had to replace the trailing arms that snapped on me and thats it as of now. I am thinking of a porterbuilt setup for a nice ride. one thing at a time I suppose.

Re: Custom Camper Club
Hi, tmills. Unfortunately, what you have there is not a Custom Camper. It was only an option in 65 and 66.

Re: Custom Camper Club
Sodly,
Are those fairly hard to find? Just wondering. Thinking of a future project. :chevy: |
Re: Custom Camper Club
I think the number I've heard thrown around (correct me here, Yelmer) is about 9000 Custom Campers out of half a million Chevy pickups produced. Something like that. Maybe Yelmer will chime in on this.

Re: Custom Camper Club
Hey, found this ad on my local CL and it looks to be made for our style trucks, figured I'd share the ad and see if y'all know anything about this style.

Re: Custom Camper Club
I'd love to find one of those for our '66 CC. Just missed a clean local one a few days ago for cheap. Dang!
I'm brand new to the camper/RV scene, but I think Alaskan Campers both new and old have a pretty good following. |
Re: Custom Camper Club
