mount square body sway bar on '68 C10

Today I salvaged the sway bar off a square body C20.
I plan on using it on my '68 C10. I ordered the bushings and a pair of mounts for a lowered truck.
I don't have all the parts yet, and my front end is currently ripped apart.

It doesn't look like the '68 has mounting holes in the frame for the sway bar brackets.

Is there a measurement for these, or do I just "kinda eyeball it"?
Perhaps it will be self explanatory when everything is together?

Junk yard pickin' pics: ;)

I'll take a pic along with dimensions of my C20 if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Didn't get a pic but I am at 9" from the longest part of the front on frame to the 1st bracket mounting hole where it is riveted through the frame.

Looks to me like you can mount the bar to the a-arms and center the bracket wherever it hits the frame.

The replies here pretty much have it, but you should have rivets in the stock locations. When you bolt it up, you should see what needs to happen.

The rear rivet is located by the intersection of the front frame cross member and the frame extension.

Install the end bushings on the bar @ the a-arms & snug the hardware. Lift the bar until the frame bushings contact the frame & you'll see exactly where it needs to be mounted.

So it sounds like it's just kind of self explanatory when I get it together.
I was just hoping to mount the bracket while it's up on the lift.
Thanks for the replies.

The empty hole there on the framerail and the one with the rivet in it. That's the ones you need.

I did this article 16 years ago. It should walk you through any aspects of the job that you're hazy on.

I'm not very good, but I sure am slow.
Finally got the sway bar installed today.
This in addition to the rebuilt front end, all 4 springs and shocks, 3.5/5 drop and disc brakes, etc., etc...
WOW!! The old truck drives great!
