'71 90 Rollback For Sale

It's my turn to link a Craigslist gem this time. The truck shows the owner's pride, wouldn't you say? Certainly a truck guy. How about that 250 Cummins?

That's not too far from me, if I had the space I think it would be in my driveway tomorrow. Price is right!

Real nice truck for a reasonable price and I don't dis-like a Cummins, but mine would have to have a Detroit, lol.

Also, just in case someone here is interested in it, the truck isn't actually a Rollback, but a Flatbed with a Dove Tail on it and Ramps.

But none-the-less she is a beauty.

Trans could be newer as I'm not sure a 9-Speed was available back then.

Thanks for pointing out the bed type,Bill. I never even looked at that one picture because it just looked like a crappy picture. Couldn't tell from the others. I guess it was an equipment hauler. We have a local backhoe contractor who subs to plumbers that builds custom dovetails to haul them. Sure puts that heavy machine up high. Was it possible to get a truck with a Cummins? It just seems wrong . Maybe I've seen that in the past, but don't recall it at the moment

Tim, the Cummins was an option at a certain time, but not real sure if it was as early as '71. I would have to check some books to be sure.

...now you've got me curious, lol.

Tim, I just checked one of my Chevy Manuals for the year of 1970 and it stated that the NHC-250 Cummins was an optional engine.

Didn't see an option for the 9-Speed though. Believe that is a newer trans as mentioned above.

The Cummins would be easier to get parts for...
And be tuned up to 335 maybe.

Interesting to know, but they must be super easy to get parts for, as I have no problems finding Detroit parts !!

...2-Cycle Detroit parts anyway.
