Pics of the new crossmember
It's all tached together. I still need to finish the welding, put gussets on the plate that the LCA's will mount to and cap the tube where the spring pockets are. Needless to say it is way lighter than the factory one. I would guess it's a good 40lbs lighter.
I will at some point purchase tubular upper and lower control arms. Or maybe make a jig and make a set.. Who knows.. http://73-ls1.com/63truck/motor_mounts/crossmember1.jpg http://73-ls1.com/63truck/motor_mounts/crossmember2.jpg http://73-ls1.com/63truck/motor_mounts/crossmember3.jpg http://73-ls1.com/63truck/motor_mounts/crossmember4.jpg http://73-ls1.com/63truck/motor_mounts/crossmember5.jpg http://73-ls1.com/63truck/motor_mounts/crossmember6.jpg http://73-ls1.com/63truck/motor_mounts/crossmember7.jpg |

doesnt sound like a bad deal. it;d be worth it, plus you can come see the scene and some of the cars we have that we dont trust to make the journey your way to race cause they;re not quite roadworthy
