Traded my 2003 for a 2013

I really like the new truck. I've had this truck for two months. I did notice the steering was stiffer then my last two Silverados and was concerned, but found out I have electronic steering and thought that must be it. No, I found my solution to my problem by accident. I needed new tires and got them today with a front end alignment, Wow I have smooth easy regular steering now. I'm surprised this truck was so sensitive to a bad alignment. All good now.

I have to assume the electronic steering isn't as strong as a pump and can notice small things like bad alignment. Trust me I was concerned with how bad and tight my steering was and after an alignment it is smooth and perfect. I can put up my alignment before and after write up if anybody wants to see it.

I thought it was very interesting the steering difference from an alignment. It's like night and day. here is the write up

Also keep in mind your 2013 is rack and pinion, so it's going to be tighter than the 2003's recirculating ball system.

My point is after the alignment it is like butter now. No different then any other truck I've had. feels perfect. It's not tighter now. That's my point here. The new way they are making these now is a very sensitive system, and just telling you people what I just experienced. My opinion as for what I just witnessed.

A few months after I traded my 2003 in I drove by the dealer and seen my old truck out front with plates on it. Looks like somebody else might be giving a go at it. I would love to see where all of my old vehicles are now. Who owns them and what do they look like now. I know one or two of them might have been recycled by now.

I have to wonder who got our 91 Suburban after we practically gave it away?

I'm sure it went to auction. Hopefully somebody picked it up for an off-road project.

I sort of asked around here on the forum but nobody seemed interested at the time.
