I appreciate this my friend. I called a friend in China and i will ship it to him soon. They told me that they wanted to manufacture at least 400 and the negotiations were still going on. Thank you for caring

However, I asked if one could be assembled with clear glass and the answer is yes....if a quantity of 50 are purchased. Group buy? :)

im in on one of the 50 i you can get enough people

It's puzzling to me because one could always tint a clear glass slider so the market appeal would seem to be broader.

I believe the bigger market they cater to is the dark frame, and tinted glass in this case. I got lucky and found a decent OEM slider that I believe should work in my case, but I am not looking for a flawless slider (but would certainly buy one if I found one for right price). I have a relative who works for a large glass installer, and they no longer will install glass on anything except for "late model" cars, trucks and suv's for the most part and won't touch a carry in salvage side glass. It is getting very hard to find installers who will do the old trucks that are not using the urethane seal (in other words not the old rubber and trim). They also do not do any heavy equipment -- tractors, excavators, trucks/busses, not even side by sides. At least in my part of the country you have to seek out a independent glass installer or try it yourself. I try to avoid if I can, as I have broken a couple. I found one independent glass guy who does the older stuff, with a huge catch -- if he breaks it installing, you pay for the broken glass plus the replacement. I walked away and went to someone else who stands behind their work.

I finally got lucky on a slider on Craigslist, the seller pulled it to out to install a new "dark frame, and tinted glass" slider. A local installer popped it in for me - which I had the old one out and the slider all ready with seal/trim.

Heck, the slider has tint film too - which I need to have replaced so it matches my windows properly (not that you can really tell it doesn't match).

Getting the slider was one of my best upgrades, I love having it open on a cool sunny day!

Im looking for one for a 67 small window.
Talk about a ***** to find.

Funny that Brothers offer a cab back for small window, and no slider. Sliders were standard fare in Texas in 80s..
