That is one beautiful truck. I'm a huge blue lover and my last 3 vehicles were blue. I decided to get away from blue on my build and you have not helped my decision. LOL I guess I'll stick with my decision and change but as I'm following your build...ow, it hurts so good.

Funny, I am a fan of blue and have had a couple blue trucks in my life. It was going to be more grey in it but then it was too grey and this is what I ended up with. What ever colour I was going with was it had to be a lighter shade. I have a black truck and it is alot of work to keep clean. My 34 Ford is 57 Chevy red and it seems like it never gets dirty....easy to care for. I didn't want anything too dark for this truck as I like the ....easy to care for.

Getting colder and wetter here. Other toys put away for the winter. Getting time to do the fun stuff....putting the truck together. Got the engine harness in and started insulating.

Started to assemble the doors. I pulled out my roll up windows and had forgotten they have a painted frame around them. Would like them chrome. I already have sent some stuff to the platers. Anyone know of source that sells door glass complete with the chrome trim ?

I have chrome wing windows. Need roll up window chrome frame complete with glass.

Re: Cgt project

But the glass doesn’t have a frame around it.

Re: Cgt project

If you have already bought weatherstripping for the door glass, don't install it yet. Most of what is sold for the 64-66 trucks do not fit the framed glass. I don't know off the top of my head if anyone is making the correct weatherstriping for that glass you have

Mine does. Mine is a Deluxe cab, does that make a difference?

This is my original door glass. They have frames. Searching the archives best I can make out in 66 the trucks came without frames, but you could get laminated glass that had frames as an option. I would prefer not to have the frames on my truck. I have already purchased new vent assemblies and door rubbers and am assuming that they are made for the frameless glass as the ones with frames would need a wider "gap" to account for the extra width of the frame?
Would all I need to do is remove the frame, replace the glass and install?Attachment 2058538

Re: Cgt project

I'm not exactly sure on what all is needed to change to the frameless glass, but I do know that simply removing the frame does not make it thin enough to easily work with the weatherstripping that you already have.
A C/10 owner local to me ran into this issue with his truck. He only had an issue with the weatherstripping that the window goes up and down in, but because it was for the frameless glass, the framed glass was extremely hard to roll up and down. He removed the frames, but they still are hard to roll up and down
