Wow guys I feel really bad and didn't know that you had asked me a question. I am glad to answer anything.

I know there was some space I just used a grinder with a cut off disk and was careful not to get to far in. I'm not sure exactly how I measured it. It has been a while. But i can say that I measured a lot and used squares and a chalk line.

again so sorry i didn't answer. I haven't been on here in so long.

Anyway, my truck has not changed much at all in the past year and a half. Since I had surgery and all kinds of health issues. You know I have always thought I was really healthy but I guess not.

I have also been working on getting my driver fixed up and will throw some pics up of that too.
Maybe a little later.

So here is some attempt to get going on it again. I bought this truck this morning. I really wanted it for the doors but it has a radio! I'm pretty excited about it. Not really sure how I am going to be able to get it home but I'll figure that out. I will part out the stuff that I don't need or want. The cab looks pretty solid too. I just need to find a title for it. its been sitting for like 16 years they say. Not sure if that is totally accurate but oh well.

So its a 1971 if your wondering. So that being said does anybody in or around Utah need some parts for theirs?

I'm going to sell the ones I don't take off it.;)

Thanks, Yeah it was good to talk yesterday. I'm glad I came to see how your shop is coming. I'm going to have some shop envy, that's not hard with my little garage though. Thanks for everything.

Time sure flies it was 1 1/2 years since I last posted on your thread, Glad to see your getting your health back, I'm sure a lot would want that original a/c thats sitting on the floor. I dont know about that steering wheel though, that sure is some dry rot going on there LOL.

Chevy88, is that really an original ac unit. I had my suspicions when I saw it but I have never seen one of those before. I wonder if I can get that in my truck. And yeah the starting wheel is gone. It really is a parts truck. But I that the starting column may be an automatic. I'm not sure though.

It's great to hear from you.

It is good to be getting better but I went and put a whole new exhaust on my 98 Chevy on Monday and totally over did it. Man have I been hurting all week. Hopefully if I take it easy this weekend it will be good.

OK so lots has happened in the past 3 years. I had another surgery. Yup apparently the first one didn't take? I could never really get a strait answer though. So the truck was put on hold again. I also got crazy and started a masters degree. So I'm one year into that and two to go. I just started to work on the truck again. I have also added some other projects. But on the 67' I've been doing some body work and messing around with some wheels and tires. Also just picked up an almost complete original AC unit. I will throw some pictures on here from my phone.

Hope you all don't feel like I abandoned you.

Ben

Take care of yourself and get back to the rig when you can. I've really enjoyed following your progress thus far; but life gets in the way, I totally get it . . .
