66 chevy truck quit running

Ok so i had some problems with my truck a while back and then i put a new cap and rotor and module inside the HEI distributor, then my uncle messed with the timing and we got it running great. we ran the 12gauge wire from the fuse box to the distributor, then just a couple weeks ago. i was driving it and it ran fine then that night. we drained the gas out of it and the next morning we put 5 gallons back in it and it would not start at all. nothing. it would just turn over and you could pump it and it just wouldnt start. ive tried to use starting fluid ( not a big fan of ) and still nothing. any ideas? could it be a fuel issues? or??

if it wont hit on starting fluid will most likely be an ignition problem pull a plug wire off of any spark plug and insert a screwdriver into the boot and hold it near a suitable ground on the engine and have someone spin it over if ignition is good you will see a spark jump from the blade to ground if no spark you have ignition problems, start by checking for 12v at batt terminal on dizzy then check for rotor burned thru to ground (the bottom of the rotor will be black and sometimes cracked) then go to the module...some of the cheap ones are bad right out of the box

Ok i will check for spark. and i went to the fuse box checkin for 12 volts in it and the 2 labeled IGN unfused has no power. only like the bottom half of it has power. its so weird. is there a better aftermarket fuse box u can get? and i just put new cap, rotor, module etc about 2 months ago or less. but may have to do that again. being that was the prob last time.
