Grey and Black interior?

I am planning ahead, and I'm thinking of a grey metal interior, with black dash, seats, carpet and door panels. If anyone has done this I'd appreciate pics before I invest a lot of time and money and realized it's not what I wanted.

I can't provide exactly what you are looking for, but lots of 67s came with "Fawn" interiors, which is a nice color for interior, and its close to silver. I think it would look good with black seats and black carpet.

Kinda depends upon what year your truck is. If it is a 67 then your glovebox is black, too. I think that if you are putting this much thought into it, though, it will look good no matter what.

This is my 67 with "sort of" where you are heading. As dagnabbitt mentioned, my interior is fawn and I went back with black visors, dash pad, arm rests, seat bets, etc. My truck is no beauty queen but it works for me.

I did keep the silver/gray later model seat and built some mounts to use the stock mounting locations.

That looks so good, pretty classic. I personally prefer the door panels being the same color as the doors: unless it is a 72, don't ask me why.

Thanks guys for the response.

I do have a 67, with the black glove box. I also have the fawn interior. For me, that's to light and silver-ly. I'm thinking sort of a Gunsmoke gray or a little lighter.

I also want to do 72 door panels. I think with the grey door, black panel, and then get the Cheyenne insert, but paint or vinyl cover in grey.

I hate to derail, but that pic shows what I've seen in a few other pics of these trucks, but the best example of it. What is that tubular roll bar looking thing below your dash? It seems to have some sort of linkage or hinge to it as well.. What is that? My 1970 doesn't have it. Should it?

I'm thinking one of these types of colors.

My thoughts are since fawn is too light, and black on black looks good, this should work too.

I think you are looking at the E Brake handle, that was 67 & 68 only. You would have a footbrake.

Sort of a gunmetal, yes I think that would look good. What color is the exterior of the truck?

R.O.B - The color you have on the left above is almost spot on to what I have pictured in my mind when/if I ever get around to all the bodywork and paint on my truck. I'd like to go back with something similar to the original vermilion but then do the interior, exterior roof, and grill shelves in that silver/gray.

Wrangler 94 - that is the parking/emergency brake. Only seen on 68 and back year models. 69 and up went to foot pedal style.

Currently 67 with red/orange oxidized paint.

The plan, 69-70 front end, side moldings, with blue and white paint scheme.

Re: Grey and Black interior?

my interior in progress is charcoal gray and black. I'm really happy with how it's coming out so far. so far I've only sprayed the dash in the gray and installed the black dash pad. I have black material for custom door panels and charcoal gray material for the headliner. I'll try and get some pictures and post them.
