Chevy Pickup Towing Information

Greetings. I own a 1994 Chevy 1500. V6 4.3L 2WD Regular cab, 8ft bed.

I'm curious what the tow rating is and the GCWR.

I checked the door and I got this:

GAWR RR = 3404
GAWR FT = 3150
GVWR = 5600

I'm guessing the GVWR is the curb weight of the vehicle plus what it should have on the truck itself such as cargo and persons am I correct? IF it is then the payload for the bed can't be much since the curb weight of the truck is roughly 4100lbs.

I'm planning on getting a trailer for a boat but need to know how much this truck can handle before I go out and purchase what I'm towing.

Thank you.

Here is a link to the origional Chevy brochure for a 1995. Im guessing the tow rating would be the same or at least close for other years. The brochure is for a Canadian truck but it is still usefell and neat to look at. See the links below.

Wow thank you so much.

The manual says a 7 pin harness is included on all models. Would that be true for the 94 model as well? If so, how do I check for it?

My 95 was already wired for a trailer when I bought it so I'm not sure how it was wired. But I did the trailer wiring on my dads 2000 Silverado and it had a pigtail of trailer wires all labeled. It was tucked up with the other wiring close to the spare tire.
I would crawl up under the back of the truck and see if there are any wires not hooked up to something.
