Passenger side cap

The passenger side front fender cap was gone on the 68 so I ordered one for it. I installed it today well the outside skin part anyway. After checking several places and making several marks I decided to cut it open and take the inside panel off of it. Most guy's cut it and sliced it open and had to put in a extra piece of metal. This way I didn't have to do any extra metal cuts. I'm glad I did it this way, it fit much better and now I can weld it back in when I get ready to start on the front end.:chevy:

I'm learning as I go. I can honestly say I know now why body shops charge so much.:chevy:

Andy, your finding out why it is called body work and not body fun. It is really both though, your doing fine. The last two i put on I split that inner piece into two sections by drilling out the spots it fit a lot better then. I went under the line and I used my green masking tape on the body line as a guide. Jim
