You have to look at it and give us something to go off of. Here is what I would do:
1. Check the brake fluid. If the resivoir is empty, it probably has a leak. check lines and wheel cylinders.
2. Pull the drums and look at the shoes. If they are worn out, brake job.
3. If the shoes look good, adjust the brakes.

What Fern said. Anyone ever see a plugged proportioning valve? I bet that's it considering he's got front brakes.

im 20 and just started to go to school to be a mechanic... my first thoughts where perp. valve or unadjusted brakes but dint know because this is my first old vehical that im really workin on so i thought i would ask some experts but i dont loose fluid so im guessing that the wheel cylinders are fine one good thing about the brakes is that .. just hold the brakes hammer down and she will roll a thick colud of smoke thanks for every ones help

Both of the automatic adjusters are prob stuck. Take them out and appart
and lube 'em up, put them back in, then adjust them out until the shoes rub
the brake drum as you install it.
Get a manual if you don't have one allready, you can find them at Half price
books, for half price.
