1976 Chevy K30 Crew Cab lifted on 52's

I have to thin out the herd and this truck needs to go. It is a 76 chevy that was a C30 and has been converted to a K30. It has a dana 60 front end under it with super lift 12" springs. It has a sterling 10.25 DRW axle in the rear with 4.10 gears. The rear springs are 10" lift springs and has a shackle reversal and a 4" block. Total suspension lift is close to 17" and it has a 3" body lift with new poly body mounts. The cab has been rebuilt and is rust free. It has new carpet and I have all the interior for it as well. Blue suburban front buckets with console in the front and a nice blue rear seat from a 95 crew cab. I also have 2 GM front doors to replace the taiwan after market front doors. I have installed a 91 suburban front end on it as well. The hood hinges still need installed on the firewall. The box has brand new box sides and a rust free bed floor and a nice tail gate. It has a 5.9 cummins sitting in the frame right now coupled to a AT542 allison trans and a NP205 divorced transfer case. The driveshafts still need to be built but I have several that will go with it. The tires are 16R20 Michelins's and the wheels are 20x10 Mickey Thompson Classic II's. There are 5 total. 4 wheels and tires are mounted ready to go. I would sell this truck as is for $6000 OBO. I am going to put this up for sale now as a project but continue to work on it when I get the time. I can help with delivery if needed as well. If you want more pictures I will take some for oyu when I get a chance. The pictures I will post today are a few years old but the truck hasn't changed much. 515-250-5121 Thanks Ryan.

How big of a ladder do you need to get up in that thing? Or does the red truck come with it :)

Re: 1976 Chevy K30 Crew Cab lifted on 52's

The red truck has been sold so and was another member's truck on here. But I'm guessing a ladder will make getting out much easier.

Re: 1976 Chevy K30 Crew Cab lifted on 52's

As far as I know, yes it is. Iowa has light height laws, but no bumper height laws that apply to non commercial light duty pick ups. You have to spend some time aiming the headlights, and the tail lights have to be visible at a certain height. The tires have DOT numbers on the side wall, which makes them street legal as well too.

Wanna sell just the engine/trans combo? What trans is in it?

Dieselwrencher 09-17-2010 07:13 PM

Re: 1976 Chevy K30 Crew Cab lifted on 52's

For it I have a 1990 VE pump 12v cummins that has a reman'd injection pump, and an HX35w turbo from a 1996 engine, and has had new rings and bearings put in a few years ago. The engine has really good oil pressure and runs really nice. The trans is a A518 from a 92 dodge. This is an automatic with no lock up but has overdrive. The trans only has about 35,000 on a rebuild. I have a NP205 as well, but I am missing the coupler. I'd sell the engine and trans combo for $1500 without the NP205.

Give me a few months and it might be. I have another engine trans I can use in it as well.

Re: 1976 Chevy K30 Crew Cab lifted on 52's

I have decided I will consider trades on either a decent 68-72 4x4 suburban, or a 1990-1991 4x4 suburban before I resort to parting it out if it gets that far.
