Fuel pump to carb fuel line ?
Does anyone make a pre-bent fuel line for a SBC, from the fuel pump to carb?

Re: Fuel pump to carb fuel line ?
There are pre bent fuel lines..lots of variables though..more info would help...
Heres one for a 350/quadrajet... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/r...RoCfqUQAvD_BwE |

You’ll need to make one.
Easy to do. |

Ditto to geezer...

Re: Fuel pump to carb fuel line ?
Fuel lines need a double flare.

Re: Fuel pump to carb fuel line ?
With a stock mechanical fuel pump the fuel pressure is anywhere between 4-8 lbs (depending on setup). So fuel lines do not require a double flare, single flare is plenty.

Re: Fuel pump to carb fuel line ?
On an eddy carb the last thing to do is bend up a solid line. Use rubber fuel line until you determine whether you need a fuel regulator or a heat spacer.. saves a bunch of frustration.
I bought a tubing bender at Home Depot like this one from harbour freight. Used pre flared pieces of tubing in short lengths bought at the parts store. https://www.harborfreight.com/tubing-bender-3755.html |
Re: Fuel pump to carb fuel line ?
I like the aluminum idea for fuel lines.
Anyone who has done this, what fittings did you use? |
Re: Fuel pump to carb fuel line ?
Although, I have seen some discussion about aluminum and ethanol fuel.

2. Fittings: I used -6 AN fittings in Black from a combination of Earls and Summit, both are available at Summit Racing. 3. If you run an Edelbrock carb you can purchase their fuel line kit (single feed or dual feed) for a nice clean install. (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-81343) Aluminum fuel line is very easy to work with and makes for clean easy bends with a simple tubing bender and super clean flares using a simple flaring tool. I have been running this setup for thousands of miles on a daily driven Suburban without issue. |

Re: Fuel pump to carb fuel line ?
I've been running this setup on a daily driven Suburban for many thousands of miles over many years without issue. I believe it's when ethanol based fuels sit for very long periods of time that anything that comes in contact with it also suffers. This could be anything from rubber to aluminum to steel etc.
