anybody using Porterbuilt control arms with a No Limit sway bar?
2 Attachment(s)
We are wondering about two things: what kind of endlinks to use, since the endlinks provided with the sway bar have rod ends, but the tab on the Porterbuilt control arms are horizontal. It should be easy enough to find some endlinks that will work, but someone mentioned a loss of articulation.
The other thing is the difference in width: the No Limit sway bar is 43.25 inside to inside, but from what we measured, the tabs on the control arms will be around 41.5. Do y'all think that will be a problem? |

Since no one else has responded I will throw my 2 cents worth of knowledge out there
I do not know the specific answer to the question you have posed but, I will say that there may be a interference with the wider sway bar and the tire/wheel at or near full lock of the steering. If that was not a problem I would remove the existing sway bar mount and install the No Limit links in a vertical position. Angled connecting links are like angled shock the greater the angle the less effective they are. You might consider asking a moderator to move this thread to the suspension section where the big brain suspension guru's hang out. Good luck. |
Re: anybody using Porterbuilt control arms with a No Limit sway bar?
I advocate for using matching parts when doing suspension work, if you can return any parts- that may be a good option.
The other option is to just replace the lower control arm endlink mounts and place them in the correct location. It shouldn't be too difficult, as they appear unpainted. In my opinion, it would be an upgrade to move away from a stud mount and move to a double shear. |

Thanks for the input fellas.
Can any mods move this to the suspension forum? Or I can make a new thread... |

Spohn Performance has sway bar end links that allow connecting the two different type mounts. Sometimes you have to be creative as they're not an 'application specific' item here.... |
Re: anybody using Porterbuilt control arms with a No Limit sway bar?
oh man I appreciate it. that's actually what I had in mind. It looks like the other variable here is that our sway bar ends are wider than our control arm mounting points. so we'll see how that goes.
