People with 55-57 GMC's..... What are these for?

Just going through some of my pics for my parts and ran across my GMC core support pics. I'm sure it'd come to me when I install the core support but what are these two brackets for that stick out of the core support? I circled them in red.

Sorry, you can hardly see the red circles. It's the two brackets sticking straight up. I'm guessing they support one of the two grill trims.
