Folding Seats

Any one tried using folding seat option package from later model Sub in middle seat position? PO included '73/'87 type 60/40 folding seats when I bought the burb, but a fit test showed they wouldn't sit flat. Biggest issue was no place to mount sidewall/seatback locking latches. Besides latch hardware being lost.
It would be neat, though, since the passenger side one-place seat next to door #3 could be up while the 60% rightside bench could be down under a load.

I had inquired about this same issue a while back on the regular '67-72 board. You might try searching there or try a new post. There were at least a couple people who responded to me and one even sent me some pics of the folding seat in his burb. I think I have hard copies but I don't think I have the jpegs anymore.

Floor Pan Surgery

My buddy has suggested we cut out the middle seat floor pan area and drop it a couple inches to make room for the seats. This had complications since it's a 4wd and has a high hump and beefy driveshaft. Solution would be a body lift.
He also wants to graft in a sliding cargo door on the drivers side [preferably stolen from some soccer mom's minvan] JK/LOL. All my friends are crazy - or they wouldn't hang out with me.
