Member can't log in or post.

This post is on FB from Dustin Romanos. "romanos93"

"I am a member but can't post or reply on anything, what's going on?"

I searched his screen name and nothing came up. I told him I would report it.

Can an admin look into this please?

It says it is awaiting email confirmation. He might need to check his spam folder to see if he got the email. I let the Admins folks know also.

Re: Member can't log in or post.

I joined the forum about 3 months ago but could never post. It always said I was awaiting approval from an admin. I checked my spam folder but there was no missing confirmation email. I gave up and joined again under my current username with a different email account and same story, not able to post and no missing email. I emailed admins several times and got no reply. I waited for several weeks and decided to pay to become a premium member and then bam, I was able to post.

Premium will change you to an active account, however it is not required. I could make excuses all day long. It comes down to a few factors. The main one being both of my parents falling critically ill. I have been caretaking and or doing ER runs since mid September . Everytime it looks like I can get back a few days, all hell breaks loose. I have been activating accounts as I can and of those asking. My father is having neurosurgery tomorrow. My mother is in a rehab facility needing constant attention. I could go on but honestly it is no one’s business and pretty much looks like a pile of excuses.

I am on my phine and can not fix his account right now. I will look at it as soon as I can get on a tablet or such.

Thank you fir letting us know

Just a fyi, when your premium account expires it will default you back to awaiting email confirmation.

I'm sorry you and your family are going through so much. My heart goes out to you. I'm totally happy to pay for premium. This site is very worth it to me. :)

Just remember if your account acts crazy when its that time, just let me know. If you can not get through for whatever reason , just report a post you can view. Explain whats up and staff will see it

Hi, I'm a member here and on vintage-mustang.com, and a member from that site is trying to get his account activated again on here, but can't seem to post. Anything he could try? His user name is DonP on both sites. A link to his post is below.

I am double checking some old posts. His account is fine with zero posts. Has he not been able to log in still?

Liz, so sorry to hear about your folks. Not meaning to ask dumb questions, but found out today that I can not post some of my pictures on here. The pictures I have that work are in format JPG. All of my newer pictures are in a format heic . and these will not load. I don't know how to change back, is it in my apple phone or in this forum that's doing this. Thanks, Donn

Sorry I missed this. I had the same issue when I switched to iphone last year. You can do either of the following, switch in settings to not use heic ( I ended up doing this) or use a program, I used infranview, to covert the pictures to jpeg and size them down before uploading.

I'm in the same boat. I joined two years ago. Clicked confirmation email and it kept saying awaiting moderator approval. I sent an email every few weeks to the contact us email and never got a response. I finally paid for premium hoping it would work and it did. But now I'm reading it will revert back to unable to post after my premuim expires. So here we are.

A member from one of the car sites I belong to is trying to get approved for membership so he can post. I believe he is registered, but keeps getting messages saying something like "posting privileges not available at this time".

His name is "Rollingflats".

Thanks

Good luck. I tried for two years, firing off emails every few weeks and they all went unanswered. I finally found a thread saying that really the only way to participate is to pay the money for premium so I did. I also read it will revert back to not being able to post again when the year is up unless you pay again. I really want to participate in this forum so I'll pay but it seems like there's nobody to give the initial moderator approval so new people can post.
