[Pic Request]: Throttle Return Spring
4 Attachment(s)
I could use images to help sort out the throttle return spring mounting location on my mutt* of a 1969 K10. As inherited, the spring was hooked on ahead of the the carburetor on the very frayed jacket of the radiator hose (bottom image). Thoughts?

Re: [Pic Request]: Throttle Return Spring
You can source a spring that fits in between the tab below where your throttle cable attaches and the tab with the hole in it under the cable bracket on the rear of the carb. Find a spring that has tension on it when the throttle is closed.
Lokar sells a dual spring that might fit there. http://www.lokar.com |

RodnRudy is spot on, use GM style dual return springs. with two springs if one falls off or breaks, your carb doesn't stick wide open.
Parts houses should have Dorman P/N 59207 in stock, it has multiple sets of double springs. Borrowed this pic: |

Re: [Pic Request]: Throttle Return Spring
I believe according to official stock trucks they had springs on both sides. It will balance the shaft so it does not wear improperly.
Check me on that, Specialty Retail sell thermostat housings that have the proper tab with hole for the spring location you have on it now. |

Ended up ordering the return spring off of LMC since I was already placing an order. Works great!
