Hope this is now "somewhat" acceptable under rule #11 guidelines.

TX Firefighter...I see your point and understand the rules...but do you reply to EVERYONE who does the same thing? I see people posting their auctions all the time on this site...seldom do I see them removed by a moderator.

hotrodchev appears to be new here, cut him a little slack. :) :)

Bottom line, lets let the mods do their job and handle this.

Yeah, I saw the point, so that's why I deleted it. I woke up in a bad mood this morning. After a few minutes I got to thinking I sounded harsh, so I went back and removed it.

I was thinking about posting my ebay auctions once and offering to ship free to any board member that won one. Kind of a "support your buddies" kind of thing.

By the way, you must have typed it real fast or something, because I deleted it within about 10 minutes.

I must have caught it just in time...but I am a "look and peck" when it comes to typing...I am actually pretty slow. :D :)

I have always wondered about the posting auction rules...I think it should be OK if they are your own...alot of times people will post it there to get more money. I myself do, except when I know someone on the board wants what I have...then I just sell it to them to help out a "friend".

Hope I didn't sound too harsh, it is hard to express ones tone thru words that are typewritten. :)

Sorry, it wasn't my intention to abuse the policies of this website and I should have read the guidelines beforehand. As I stated before, this website is truly a benefit to everyone who enjoy the old truck hobby. Perhaps a seperate board should be considered just for announcing auctions or something similar to what www.chevelles.com is doing could be implemented. I guess the point I am trying to make is this, if someone has something available that interests me, I would rather be informed about it than not know at all (whether it is advertised here or elsewhere). I have no problem with selling items outright, but I tend to rely more heavily on auctions these days because of the commitment. A seller has to produce and the buyer has to pay-up in a timely manner or negative feedback is at stake. But, on the same note it's helped me to develop trusting relationships with several of the members on this board who I've later sold or purchased parts from outright. The way I see it, no harm done.

I don't see anything wrong with posting your stuff you have on ebay on here. I try to sell stuff on here and on ebay, it basically just a headsup for members if they want to buy them, its still our years trucks parts that someone might need!!! Good luck, Randy
