Gas tank relocation

I did some searching and couldn't find anything on if anyone here has upgraded to a larger fuel tank and mounted it where the spare tire was. Its an idea I've been throwing around since I'll more than likely be running new fuel lines in the next month when I drop my motor in the truck. Any pictures would be great too!

Re: Gas tank relocation

You might put the words Blazer gas tank in your search. There have been some on here that have relocated the gas tank on their pickup using a Blazer gas tank.

Re: Gas tank relocation

Wiggles, you might want to search the Transfer Flow website for a large capacity fuel tank for your p/u. My swb C-10 with a 454 came with a single 16.5 gallon saddle tank. Go figure.... That got me around the block before I had to fill up. I swapped out the small saddle tank for a Transfer Flow 26.5 gallon tank kit that sits where the spare was. I still use the stock fill on the passenger side. What a difference an additional 10 gallons makes.

How many gallons? I'm looking for a lower profile gas tank on my C10 I believe the one I have is the 41 Gal which hangs way too low!
