Correct "stock" rotors & calipers for CPP modular drop spindles?
1968 C10
Driving myself nuts here with the search, Googles and Rockauto trying to find part numbers, etc. I have a set of CPP modular drop spindles CP30106-2 (63-70) and the caliper brackets (6087DBK). Factory lower control arms, POL tubular upper control arms. All of these parts came as a package deal on an unfinished project, so it's sausage-making a bit.... Calipers are GM 18003532 / 18003533 which I find fits a mid-80's C20 (among others). Rotors, I was an idiot and threw away the boxes before taking a photo, but they measure approx. 1.25" thick, contain the wheel studs, are 6-lug, and use A-3 / A-5 bearing sets. ----- The problem I'm having, is the rotor and caliper w/pads doesn't line up, no matter how I orient the slightly-bent caliper brackets. Thinking I have incorrect rotors, but given the spindles were for a pre-71 C10, the calipers I have are for a mid-80's C20....and rotors of unknown descent don't line up, I'm confused. Also working on getting pics loaded for visibility. Thoughts? |

6-lug disc brake rotors are either custom bolt pattern or from the OBS (88-98) years.
Since this was some sort of 'kit', I'd put my money on the custom (aftermarket) 6-lug rotor based off of the 73-80 1.25" rotor brake package. As far as the calipers, the lighter GVW 3/4 ton trucks used the same size caliper as the 1/2 ton trucks w/the HD 1.25" brakes. |
