burb seats

What kind of seats do people use in these burbs? I want to put in some from a new burb but I don't know if they will fit, or where to get them. I called the "auto recycling yard" (they charge too much to call it junk) they said $1500 for just the rear seat! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAgggggggg!
What I really need is some place to buy them cheaper.....
and yes I have tried ebay......
any other suggestions?

I usually have good luck at the swap meets. I don't know what you have on the left coast but we have the Spring Carlilse, Englishtown & Hershey meets. Usually some of the conversion companies selling new take outs and some guys that are parting trucks there too. I have seen nice leather seats selling for $250-$350 for the front and $200-$300 for the middle/rear. Cloth seats are a little cheaper.

I have seen posts on hear about using the 73-91 Sub seats in the 67-72's. They don't look too bad & you can find them at the local upull it.

The $1500 seat sounds like the price the dealer would want for a new one...

Seats

If you go through the "Let's See Some Burbans" thread at about the 4th page you will see a guy who put new seats in a burb and i believe it did not cost him to much for it.

I've got a set of 99' suburban seats, leather, heated and power, that I'm thinking of putting in my 72 burb. None of the holes match up but that's Ok. I'm still debating though, I like the origional look and I like the new look. Maybe I'll see some on this board that help me with my decision and yours too.

Not sure what the new seats look like in the burbs but I did see a nice 68 p/u with a 60/40 split bench w/foldown armrest from a 99+ Silverado in it and it looked nice in the cab. I beleive it has integeral seatbelts too with the built in shoulder restraints. Sure it would look the same in the burb in the front.
