I used 3M Strip-Caulk. Seemed less messy and easier to control than something squeezed from a tube.

x2 on the strip-caulk.that's what i used re-installing the wheel tubs in my 72 truck.i believe it was there from factory but all dried up,hard to know what it was.i bought a box of it at my local auto parts store, wasn't expensive,we always called it dumb-dumb years ago, don't know if that was the stuff or the guy using it??

I like using window eurathane.

you dont have to tighten the bolts so much that is distorts the metal, and the euarathane glues the wheel well to the sides real nice.

when doing 'pro-street' wheel tubs i use the same stuff to glue the tub to the 1/4 panel with minial tack welding it is such good strong stuff.
