c50 or c60 front clip fitment

Has anyone tried bolting on a c50 or c60 front clip onto our c10s? I really like the taller grill recess and taller big truck grills. I don't know about the flares, but maybe graft a little of the c10 fenders in.. Looks like it would fit, just wondering if anyone has.

I know someone on here used the grill off of a truck like the red and put it on a c10 but that is all I've seen. If you look around I'd bet yould find it.

I always thought that a set of those front fenders would look cool on a 4x4 with some modification to the rear of the flare. Then do some type of flare mod to the rear fenders.

I am sure it would bolt on , it is the same cab and hood...
I always thought those flares would look good around a set of 24"'s

I got a good grill off of one of those style trucks thinking it would go on a c10 but it dosent, if you modify it then it will work, but not a direct bolt on for a 62 anyway. I bought it for only 10 bucks, so no big loss.

I think the earlier grille 60-63 is too tall to fit in the 1/2 ton support, the 64-6 will fit, you have to take the letters off, and change the headlight/grille support brackets to 1/2 ton style.
mine, and another:

Thanks for the pics! Those grills look tough. I was actually thinking of streching the front grill surround and running the full size big truck grill. Anyone know of any of these style grills for sale?

No dought. I've never seen anybody attempt to use the whole front clip though. I'd like to see that.

I saw this same approach on a mud-truck here in Oregon, though it was done to a (gasp!) Ford.

The thing had 44' Swampers on it, and the owner had bolted on a '70s F-700 cab, with a flatbed.

It looked pretty cool, given the fact the tires were proportionate to the fender-flares.

And that was a Ford. Think of how much better it would look on a properly dropped GM product.

In order to put the heavy truck nose on a light duty truck, you'll have to drop the front of the frame to accomodate the taller grill panel.
