Door Window Sweeps install
 

I am replacing the door window sweeps on my '68. They are gone so I have no reference to see how they mount. I see the metal slots cut in door panel. The new sweeps have hooks that obviously go into the slots. My question is do the hooks just latch in or do you have to bend them somehow?

No bending required. Just slide em in. Spring pressure keeps em there.

Be aware there are left and rights. Make sure they line up perfect before you push them in they Will Bend if your not careful.

Ask me how I know this LOL

When pushing try only pushing just above the clips, less chance of bending. Kind of need to work it all at the same time. If you clip a couple of the clips all the way in it wants to bend to get the next clip started. Watch the video and take your time. I have ruined an NOS set trying to rush it.

The overall length of my window sweeps was too long, so I had to trim them slightly to get them to fit. Modify the length, if needed, before you install.
