For our April 2023 Truck of the Month (ToTM) contest the theme is

Shakes, Rattles, but Rolls

Not quite the same as the ole song, but things may rattle, shake, clunk and even fall off, but our ole trucks keep on rolling. This month’s contest theme is based on those trucks that are rude, crude, and vehicles that are far from show or nice. Here’s the criteria for this month’s contest.

• Open to all years and models of Trucks, Blazers, Suburbans, Tahoes, Yukons, and Jimmys.
• The vehicle nominated needs to belong to a board member during the time of the contest.
• It must be road worthy and currently legal (until the cops catch you) to be on the road.
• It must have an unmatching paint scheme (no all primers)
• It must have at least three other distinctly viewable issues. This includes things like:

o Missing panels
o Dents and Holes (large and small)
o Dominate rust formations (not patina)
o Anything that might make someone afraid to go near it for fear of catching some sort of disease

• If a truck was selected as a 2022 or 2023 ToTM winner then you are ineligible. If the truck was nominated but not selected as a ToTM winner then it may be nominated and compete in this month's category.

To Nominate:

You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum, at least one full view of the vehicle. In addition, we will need the owner’s board name and the Make/Model/Year of vehicle.

Nominations will run through March 24. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the Make/Model/Year of vehicle. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up March 25 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of April 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the evening of April 1. The announcement of the ToTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

I was going to say this one will be a hard one to nominate someone else for, but you managed just fine :cool:. My '72 is rough around the edges but it rolls smoothly on down the road and is all one color... except where the paint is popping off the hood! :D

Color - Primer / Rust / Dove Grey / Implement Gray /Moss Green

Looks bad, smells funny, leaks worse - about all you could ask for in a truck!

Missing rear bumper, lots of holes for long gone equipment (some partially filled, many not) potentially bullet holes

Definitive road force ventilation system ( rust ; floors, roof, anywhere it can)

Straight pipes with a side dump exhaust and street sweepers - you can hear us before you see us but the oil leaks will have you remembering us long after we are gone

He ain't pretty, but we get where we need to go!

My '72 is trying to turn it's hood black GM primer. The paint decided it doesn't want to be on there any more. But it's still white all over except flaws. Four nominees so far. I guess we don't have many multi-color trucks here. Good luck my friends!

Getter Done, what do they call those funny Dungeons & Dragons dice things they use? I never played but my son did. Used to see those things laying around the house

Here’s mine
1965 GMC 5000 with a toro flo diesel, rust through the floor and cab corners, and the toolbox and hydraulic tank don’t match anything.
