That's no way to treat a grille! Shame!

I think that green one is the best big rig creation I've ever seen. Funny you mention converting that Euro Fire Truck into an RV. About a month ago I ran into a German family who had just arrived with their big '74 Mercedes 4wd fire truck converted to RV, about to embark on a a USA adventure.

We see mostly pickups here. Not sure if this is a member's, but a super clean job like this is something different on a dump truck. I helped a friend do a black '47 flatbed this size. You guys would have drooled over the condition of all the sheet metal. I never got pictures and he ended up selling it. But that black paint was flawless

5 of us went on a road trip from Mississippi to Cody WY.
I was surprised to see so many rusty old cars and trucks on the way out there finished and in progress.
We we driving so I did not get to take any pictures.

That's different.

These are different, being you don't see them much if any

Those tank trucks were real common back in the 50's though. Back when a lot of small farms had 250 /500 gallon gas tanks up on a stand out by the barn or shop to fill the tractor and truck with.

My mom still has my grand father's old gas barrel sitting out in front of her house painted yellow with happy faces painted on both ends. The thing is actually a landmark on US 97.

Yep, but something different today.

Like these rolling amusement rides. I never hear people my age talking about these cool old trucks. I rode on a few and I distinctly recall them being Chevy 6s. Man I can hear that motor, smell that exhaust, oil, and grease, and hear the gears whine

I thought I'd spark some nostalgia with those amusement ride trucks. I have distinct Chevy Truck memories from those.

Anyone have pictures of the 1948-1955? Chevy or Gmc that could go to the swap meet or another venue and sell out of the side of the truck as it was cut open.

Officially those are a model 3107 Canopy Express. Usually used by produce vendors when they were new. Set up pretty well the way you see on the blue and green ones. Racks to display fresh fruit and produce with your other stock in the bed under the display racks. In some areas they may have gone door to door and in others they may have stopped in a spot just as a lot of vendors do (at least around here) today. We have people who set up on corners and sell various produce all up and down the Yakima valley. Quite often it's what the folks who came up from Mexico are looking for but it can be oranges or watermelons or fresh corn or cherries.
