It would be easier to cut one out of a 4x4 truck if you can.

I could do that. It would be out of an 85 chevy though. That's the parts truck that I am getting to transfer case, transmission, and axles from

Is your c10 automatic or manual? The manuals had the removable tall center hump and you would have to just make a hole for the TC. If its an automatic it would almost be better to find a manual cab to take the hump out of and part of the floor since the floor is just a little different at the rear, if you want it factory like that is.

It was a manual then previous owner made it an automatic. So maybe it does already have the larger hump. I will post pictures tomorrow

Without running out to look, I believe the small hump isn't removable but the large one is bolted in.

I put a 70 C20 cab (2wd auto) on a 71 chassis (K20 manual) and bought a "high" hump off of a board member. It was fairly easy to do, set the high hump in place, mark the floor and move in an inch or so and cut it out. I used self tapping screws to bolt it in. I do not think the 85 will work.

Simple as that

The high hump can also be from an automatic, my 72 has a TH350 and has one, it has a hole for the T case only, you could find one on the parts for sale board for probably about $40-$50.

I've seen the conversion on a thread here where yes they just lay it over the top and trace it, when you cut the old one out just measure back an inch to 1 1/4 and cut the low hump out, sand and paint the cut area, use some seam sealer when you screw the high hump into place.

Heres a post in my build thread showing my high hump is a bolt in, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=439
