New owner of the K-30 here! Hope its OK that I just continue this thread?

I had it shipped to Seattle and love it. Put new tires on the back, new master cylinder, recovered the seat, rebuilt and got all the marker lights working, buffed the hell out of it, removed rear bumper, added trailer hitch and wiring, relocated mud flaps, just lots of misc.

Pulled the drivetrain, having the TH400 rebuilt as it had a bit of a first gear shudder. This way I know its good to go.

Pulled the engine, sold to a guy that will put it in a jaguar.

Fitting and installing the dirty dingo 4x4 crossmember for the 6.0 LQ4.

Ahh, yes, I made sure they were included with the sale and installed them shortly after receiving the truck. They of course match the truck perfectly! Not to mention superior parts.

So far the dirty dingo stuff is OK. I wanted the pac fab crossmemeber but I guess they went out of business?? I couldnt get ahold of them. I got the unpainted version of the dirty dingo and almost have it in. I am running into a few issues though as this was a 2wd frame so there is a big bump stamped into the frame for lack of a better term. Also no reference holes to start from so I'm sort of just roughing it in where I think it should go. Paired with the dirty dingo engine plates should give me plenty of adjustability. Will just mate it to the Th400 and keep all drivelines the same. Thats the goal anyway... Will post more pics when I make some progress.

Sounds like a good plan

Man that paint cleaned up really nice! That truck turned out killer! As far as the bumps on the frame, on the ones I've converted, I've cut out those parts of the frame and welded flat steel back in place. I have installed factory K engine cross members in 1 frame without doing this though.

Looking good! Plenty of room for a mechanical fan!

Yup I ordered a used one off eBay as mine didn’t come with one. For simplicity it will have mechanical fan and shroud.

Hey Brett how much room do you have from the DD crossmember and the front diff? i heard they are very close or hit on a stock height truck.
Keep it up!

Once I get the trans and t case in I’ll put the tires on and see how close it gets. I won’t have a ton of clearance. This truck is pretty custom with the heavy 1 ton p30 springs which help, but the larger Dana 60 which hurts. I don’t think they flex a whole lot so hopefully ok.

Nice you got the motor in. Hope to get to that soon. I have a Pacific Fab/ Tilden motorsports crossmember that I will be installing. Out of curiosity I tired to call Tilden. They do pick up. I did not ask why when searching Pacific fab, EC Auto comes up now. Looks like they have the same crossmembers.

I emailed and left two voicemails over the span of several weeks. No answer or returned call so if they still exist they lost my business. I even reached out to one of their “distributors” when you search near me and they told me they went out of business

Got the transmission back from the rebuilder on Thursday. Didn’t touch the truck until tonight but got the transmission and transfer case installed and bolted to crossmember. Torque converter bolted to the offset conversion flywheel. Still need to hook up lots of stuff underneath but got everything in the right position using the dirty dingo slotted mounts.
