Brake Master cylinder question

When I purchased this latest truck, I was going to put disc brakes on but, decided to leave it drums( with power ) all way around for now. Question is: Will the mastercylinder/booster with proportion valve still work?

Thanks,
Bill

If you are talking about using a disc/drum master cylinder with a drum/drum system, I can't say for sure how it will work. Why not just switch the master cylinder to a drum/drum unit and eliminate the proportioning valve. That way you know it will work. Rebuilt or new master cylinders aren't that expensive.

a reman master for a 67 impala drum/drum will do the trick, $23 from advance auto parts, and others I am sure
