Saturday my son and I painted the interior of Darel, Platinum gray. Turned out really nice. Dash, front of seat riser, door jams, back of cab.

Great work. Keep it up and we'll keep watching.

Be sure to post mileage when you get going. The incredible MPG with our 2012 Passat SEL was about the only thing i liked about it. Darn near 60 MPG on first cross country trip!!!! Still wonder where it is after VW literally forced us to sell it back.

that's exactly where/how i've been planning to put some coolers too, here's hoping we know what were doing!

I have seen lots of people put them under the floor boards on cars and seem to work ok we will have much better air on the trucks.

Fuel tank is in and hooked up down to the fuel filter. Peddles, steering column, ebrake peddle and speakers. It's all going to plan so far.

Started laying out the fuse panel plate so when I run a wire I will know there to cut it off. Wow way less circuits needed in this truck than my other truck.

On the weekend I put the front clip on to get some stuff figured out. Rad is out to be modified and I can work on turbo fitment stuff as well as body mounts.

Nice progress....theses all sorts of room for activities in that engine bay.
I feel your pain on the wiring. I have been wiring mine for what seems like weeks.

Re: 1950? S-10 tdi

when i was building my 02 WV Golf TDI, i found a junkyard in The Netherlands (yes, in Europe) that was really good. it was cheaper for me to buy a complete 5spd transmission swap kit from him and ship it over-seas than buy anything local. i also ended up buying a complete custom tuned ECU shipped cheaper than anyone in the US would tune mine. had him send me the bigger AFN injectors with it. just his tune and injectors made that car super fun.

i always worked with Franz, great dude. TONS of great feedback from everyone who uses them. but they can be slow to reply and respond, gotta have patients.

stock would ramp in the boost and RIGHT at peak RPM it would hit 16psi for like 1sec. mine was tuned to basically 18psi all the time. the only smoke from mine was a bad PCV that would fill the intercooler with oil. then when i'd get to ripping on it she'd suck that oil up into the intake. had an oil separator on it for a while, but was too much trouble to empty it that often. so instead i just stopped changing the oil and added some now and then. haha

do you have any plans to build the motor at all? i did a bunch of research and was just about to build my ALH for 300hp before it went in the '55 ... then the 12V fell in my lap.

Wiring does seem to take forever. Yes total contrast to my other trucks engine bay.

I'll look him up. All of the parts, adaptors and tune I use are Canadian which is nice.

This one should work well with the setup I've got together. My Jeeps ALH runs 20psi all the way through this one has a different but bit bigger turbo.

Stock internals are more than enough for even stage 3 which is what I'm thinking I will run. 140whp and 240wtq. I'll have to do injectors tho. I run a stage 2 in my Jeep and it pulls great, not like a 12V tho.

Yes it is.
Today I got the front end hanging on it's own, front clip body mounts are tacked in. I need to do a bunch more work to the inner fenders before I can take them off to clean and paint.

On the weekend I got the cold side of the intake put together. Then put in a crossmember and bumper supports. 2x4 1/8" then 2x2 1/4", I added a lower brace but forgot to take picture. The bumper is the tow truck bumper that came with this truck it is 1/4" thick  it will never dent that's for sure. It is now sitting at what will be ride height, bumper at 7" and running boards will be at 6".

Working on getting the running boards installed. Brackets are 1x2" tube getting bolted to the frame. I cut all the old bracket off.
