That is one awesome looking steering wheel.
If you don't mind me asking, how can you get the sticky goo off??
And how you got such a nice polish ?
Or what did you use to polish it?
It looks like a new wheel
Thank you for any help.

Thanks HWY-STAR! I lightly wet sanded it with 1000 grit sandpaper to remove any small imperfections being careful not to apply too much pressure and finished with 2000. Then polished with Adam’s Polishes ‘Compound’ using a 4” microfiber cutting pad on an orbital polisher, followed by Adam’s ‘Finish Compound’ with a 4” foam pad on the orbital.

I wouldn’t recommend sanding if you don’t have an orbital polisher - as the scratches will be difficult to remove by hand. I would also caution against using a rotary polished as they will put more heat into the wheel. But even without sanding, hand polishing with a little compound on a microfiber rag can be enough to bring back some shine!

Thank you very much for sharing your process with me/ us.
It sounds like a lot of work, but I kinda new it would be, and well worth the effort.
I have an ugly steering wheel and didn't know what to do to restore it.
So thank you again for sharing and good luck with your sale.

Sir,
Steering wheel arrived today. I am very impressed with your packing expertise. It would be virtually impossible for the steering wheel to be damaged during delivery. Also, the steering wheel looks better than described.

Thanks
Rob
