Not much to put up here but have snuck in a little work. Got the new ball joints in, all the No Limit stuff resolved and it's back on springs! Ran into some issues with the front springs and the LCA relocate mod. Nothing big, but have some figuring to do. The steering stops now ram into lower control arm instead of the bump-stop mount/bracket/thingy. I'm thinking I'll just lop those off and build my own bump-stop mount/bracket/thingy. I'll have to lop off the steering stop from the spindle casting and am thinking of putting some type of adjustable "jack screw" type setup on the LCA. Haven't had much time to search it up but maybe there's someone on here that's already been there? I'll keep looking and hopefully find the sweet setup. Also need to sort out the best way to plumb the front brakes. The tab where the hard lines transition to rubber now crashes with the upper control arm! I'm sure its on here too.

Vanity is done (not bad for a contractor's saw and a belt sander!), tile is done, just have firewood to get now!

Man I wish it was done. Still just finishing the grout and have to install the vanity and all the fixtures. Wifey bought a bunch of fancy towel bars for me to put up too. Did I mention she dosen't like any of the moldings they have at the box stores? Looks like some mill-work coming up next! Love sanding and finishing that crap. I've also gotta go out in the woods and put up about 7 cords of firewood or we'll be freezing this winter. At least I get to romp on the big fella doing that and I've got a bad-boy Stihl that I love to run. I'm still set on getting paint done before the snow flies. We'll see! Congrats on the new build and thanks for looking!

Kitchen, bathroom, Bah! Git out in the shop! What kinda Stihl? Uncle Matt has a Farm Boss that's a pain to start, but is a bad mother when it does. Vanity looks great, I did a complete gut to the studs remodel at out old house. Nice when its done.

It's coming... All I have is some base molding to stain, finish and nail up and a couple towel bars. It'll take me 4-5 truck loads to stock for winter. Some years thats easy, others not so much. The boy and I will get the bikes up there first to scout it out. Saw is the MS440 with a 28". I modded the exhaust port and silencer slightly and it tunes spot-on. Most of the time its almost rediculous, but I do hunt for the big firs and when we get on one it's a beast! The 1 ton is just as much fun too. We've got lots of wire rope, blocks, chains and such. That dude will yard some big stuff up the hill.

Just read through your build. Nice work ! any restore takes a lot of time, but you have a good plan. keep up the good work. I planned on finishing mine in a year. at @ year and a half now. those damn might as wells.:lol:

Wifey and I just got back from three days camping with NO KIDS. That was a well deserved break for both of us. We talked bathroom, firewood and TRUCK. The goal is to get me going asap as I'm going to dump my current daily driver. I should see a shot of truck cash from that and free up a ton of monthly moolah. That'll allow us to dump her POS Mitsu and get into a newer SILVERADO 1500 baby! :chevy: Runs deep, WAY deep!

Bathroom is done! The boy and I have been hard on the firewood and brought this load home today. That big-o crummy is the shizz when it comes to yarding logs outta the woods. The boy has it down pat and I swear I'm gonna get some video next weekend. He literally had one front tire off the ground with the secondaries wide effin open. Only broke one chain!
Putting the VeeWee on the block tomorrow and my asking price will net me about $5500 to sprinkle on the '67! I'm driving the Boy's S10 this week until he gets his license on Saturday, then the crummy!
On a sad note, boy took his CR for a spin after dinner and took a hard spill over the bars, second gear pinned! Lost his way in the tall grass and smacked the backside of one of our berms. He came away with only a couple rasberries but the bike wound up with tweaked bars and a big a$$ shiner on his brand new works pipe :Own: He's bummed beyond words but I've got him on suicide watch tonight.

Hey, bikes can be fixed! Glad he's OK. They can scare the jeebers out of you, can't they? I punched another spot off my ticket back in May on the blaster. Congrats on the bathroom! It feels so good when they're done. Hope your evil plot for truck bucks pans out, I'm on the hunt myself!

Blew the dust of the project and actually got a little done! Very little that is. I did manage to grind enough clearance on those steering stops to make them work and they don't look all that bad. I threw one of the inner fenders on the bench and started cleaning that up. Both inners are zero rust, zero PO holes and not a ding in them! They do however have about a 1/4" of super hardened asphalt / tar on them. That is a PITA to get off. After about an hour, then looking at my rad support, hinges and other misc. parts I've decided to take a load to the blaster. It'll be way easier for Johnny and the results will be much better. So.... I put all the crap away again. I made a deal with my little sis on the VeeWee and she'll be here to pick it up in a week or two. That'll get me rolling on the project again. Back to the firewood today.

Have done some work, just nothing really worth pictures. Finished up on the spindle clearancing, cleaned and primed my steering box, drag link and idler and the calipers. I'll shoot a little paint on those bits tonight. I also got motivated from XxCHEVYMANxX and started sanding the respray off my steering wheel. About an hour in and I've got 1-1/2 spokes clean. Should have my moolah outta the VeeWee here in a few days, so I'll be ramping up then. First off will be the rear swaybar from No Limit and shocks. Then I wanna get my wheels, rad support and inner fenders blasted and painted so I can get this thing on its real rubber!

Yea I dont know if I'm just slow or what, but I have @ 8hrs in my wheel, and its just in the last coat of primer.:lol: for me everything is picture worthy. post 'em.

I'm peckin away on this damn thing in the shop but Ima get busy here in a minute and will post up some photos after chow.

Need a little help here. I bought some little screw-in studs for the rear cab moulding (paint divider). My truck was plain-jane and didn't have that. I could prolly figure out where to put those buggers (spacing) so they'd work, but if anyone has any photos of a cab without the trim installed that shows where them things lay that'd be *****in! I'll just get back to sanding that steering wheel for now.

So here's a shot of those chassis parts I've got cleaned up. Working on getting this thing rolling again. Got all the old paint off the wheel and buffed it out with some P180. It's going to be nice! There are the typical 0.050" cracks in all three spokes at the hub, but also some hairline cracks around the wheel. I'm wondering if I should gouge these cracks out a little and chamfer the edges so that I can get the goo down deep and feather it out at the surface?

Parts look good ! you could notch the cracks, but it just seemed like extra work to me. I used a wooden paintbrush handle to push that clay patch down into the cracks. with jb weld being more liquid like, you could get it in there pretty good by having the tube right against the crack as you apply. also use something to get the excess off, or you will have a lot of extra filing.:smoke:

I used the JB weld on one of the cracks near the hub. The stuff I used is in two tubes and mixes up pretty runny. I just put on a glove and smooshed it in, cleaning up all the excess. The stuff does shrink a bit but it sanded pretty easy and I'm satisfied. If you wanted a 10 out of 10 on a steering wheel resto, I'd get the spendy stuff and grind them cracks out. Be careful sanding too. The paint is pretty hard but once you get through that the black rubbery substrate that the wheel is made of is pretty soft. You can sand away detail pretty easy!
I also threw up picks of my high-dolla pneumatic power plant and spray guns! I'll give it a try with the black on the wheels, inners and rad support before I decide if I'll paint the sheetmetal with it. Got the steering box and drag link back on too. There was some PS fluid pissin through the process and some of the paint didn't stick real good by the fittings. I've got lot's of touch up do do on the front of that chassis anyways.

Goin out for sushi, firewood tomorrow and prolly Sunday too. We're on the verge here tho! Have a killer weekend!

Looks good man ! you are correct about how easy you can lose detail. your making good progress keep up the momentum ! your guns look nice, with their own case and all.:cool:

China's finest! I picked them up for $50 I think? I'll let you know how they work. I've got an old Binks siphon gun but It's full of dried primer and I doubt I could clean it up well enough for a re-pack.
