Looking good! I like the original white roof look.

Thank you for the kind comments. My goal was to have all the color on it by fall then spend all winter putting it together and hope to have it burning gas in the spring. Steve

nce job!
I like the way you have the dark color "stripe" on the upper body line. that breaks itup very nicely in my opinion.
keep on posting the progress, it keeps us slackers interested. i actually had time between other jobs to do a little work on my 57 the last few days,. been awhile.

Thank You. I did the upper strip of brown to break up the two tone.

Thank You. Yes that was the start of the cut and buff. That area is buffed out now. Steve

I started to work on the inside of the cab and core support. I put down some fat mat on the floor, back wall, firewall and kick panels. I want to put it on the roof where the headliner goes put not sure it will stick good. Got the Vintage Air box installed, radio, wiper motor and transmissions and started running hose for the heater and a/c. Little bit at a time. Steve

Hi, Making some more progress on the 57 pickup project. Got a lot of the wiring done, decided where the PCM, TAC module and relay center will live. Installed the steering column, almost done with the vintage air install, started making brake lines and battery cables. I should be able to power up the truck and see if I can communicate with the PCM, see if the fuel pump has its 2 second prime and run the fans. Getting closer all the time. The ligh is getting brighter at the end of the tunnel. Steve

Looking great. I’m in the same assembly phase with my build. I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with my back wall. I may be borrowing your idea. I like it. Keep up the pace. You’ll be done before the thaw!

Thank You. I used .060" aluminum for those pieces. the end pieces were pretty tough to bend as I have know bending tools so had to use the vice and my Argon tank. It worked out and should look good. I started on the door stuff and found out the reproduction vent window mounting holes were all off and had to be redrilled. Yes!! I hope to have it running in the spring Steve

Got a few more things going on my project. Put the vent windows and door glass in, finished the fuel lines and began mocking up the exhaust. Steve

looks great, nice and clean.
don't forget to leave room for some heat shielding in the gas tank and fuel line areas.

Re: 57 Fleetside C4 build

will you use stepped band clamps to hold it all together so it can be taken apart for maintenance or repairs of nearby stuff?

Hi, Yes I have shields to put on the bottom of the bed wood. I am going to try the stepped band clamps to hold it together and like you said if I need to move something or for access. Steve

Just read the whole thread.
Amazing work in such a “short” time.
You make the conversion to C4 suspension look easy!
Real craftsmanship here!
I also like the two-tone colorcombination, great choice.
Tag along for the rest to come….

Thank You for the comment, I can't take credit for the C4 setup as I bought this at a started project. I finished some of it and did everything else. Steve
