Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates
on a 4 wheel drive, will this work ok, or do I need an inner plate too?
btw, this is going to be for 87 4wd equipment on a 64 2wd frame.. |
Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates
I have Factory 65 4x4, What do i need.thanks
|
Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates
I have sold several to guys that installed them on the '67 and earlier 4x4's. I don't think an inner plate is necessary unless you plan on wheeling it hard, and/or running big tires.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates
This adapter plate should be all you need unless you want the tube and flange also. Of course you will need the 4x4 power steering box, pitman arm, draglink, pump hoses, belts and pulleys for your particular engine. I don't think the template I supply for the 2wd's will work on the 4wd's, but then again I have yet to install one on a 4x4. However I do supply some pics and measurements taken from a '69 K20 to aid in the installation. If you do run into a problem I am always willing to help out via email or by phone.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates
Captain!
Just gotta say you're the top-notch vendor I've seen on here. Every day there's questions and BAM! - answers. You're posts are what got me hooked on the Hydro-boost setup. I went the hard way and made my own mods vs. adapters, but I still don't have it all sorted out and may just end up wishing I had used your parts. I'm hoping to catch up with you one day! Yes capt. Mine does have the little bumps from factory as the ones in the pics you posted. Please send me the payment info for the spacers.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates
So do these work on a 60-62?

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates
Interested in a set of these for my 67 also....any issues with steering geometry (I realize it is slight). And I'm assuming they don't have to but it makes the install easier?

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates
What you referring to here? Welding them?
