"Almost Heaven" 67 - swb- Lilly
3 Attachment(s)
My first build from ground up , I have been collecting parts for over a year .
I bought my chassis from a fellow board member , description : " 72 chassis. Has been sand blasted, primed, and painted with semi glass implement paint. Finish looks great and is very durable. Everything is newly rebuilt, all Moog, AC Delco or Raybestos parts. CPP 4/6 drop kit all new, spindles, springs, ball joints, tie rods, adj. panhard rod, drop blocks, etc... (Everything is new!) Has cross drilled rotors front and rear (Astro front rotors on rear, new) with brand new Wilwood D52 calipers on all 4 corners. 3.08 open rear axle with weld on caliper brackets for the D52s. Rear axle has 50K original miles on it." We will start with this 72 chassis and put a 67 all oem body except bed , have not found a bed good enough yet and thinking about a new aftermarket 67 bed with no stake pockets ... Have to wait and see what happens !!! Would love some opinions on the wheel size ? Thinking about 17x8 front 4.5 BS-- 18 x 9.5 back 5 " BS ... Will start the brake line plumbing next ... |

Re: "Almost Heaven" 67 - swb- Lilly

|
Re: "Almost Heaven" 67 - swb- Lilly
ya I read about that , is that to move more fluid ? I am no brake expert
I found several different opinions ...thanks for the input ... |
Re: "Almost Heaven" 67 - swb- Lilly
disc brakes need more pressure, where drums need more volume...

Re: "Almost Heaven" 67 - swb- Lilly
Nice project, looks like you have a good start on it. I have a new Southern Kentucky Classics 67 Bed without the stake pockets and I really like it. Very nice quality piece, it's a little pricey but I think you would be happy with it. I'm in for the build.

And wat size diameter ? is 08AN diameter OK ? |
Re: "Almost Heaven" 67 - swb- Lilly
I used a 1969 Camaro gas tank in mine, with a flip down tag. so the gas inlet will be under the tag. With 3/8 aluminum gas line with rubber on both ends, works great.
