I know it's a stupd question, but did you back off the pads?

if they're still in contact, the drum aint coming off...

on my 67, I *had* to remove the entire hub / drum assembly. On mine, the front hubs were rivited to the drums. I just did a total brake overhaul, and when I replaced the front drums I didn't re-rivet them in, so now I can remove just the drums without removing the hubs.

I just did my front bearings the other day. From the factory the drums were riveted on. I was told that it does not matter if the rivets are replaced, it's only an assembly line procedure. My rivets wouldn't budge so I just ground them down flush with the hub.

i soaked mine in penatrating oil for a couple of days and beat the hell out of the hub and it came off. p.s, use a block of wood when you hit it off.
