T5 / sbc

Hey All,

I am trying to piece together some functional parts to get Rusty back on the road ... and I was hoping to run something by the great minds here and make sure I have all my bases covered.

I have a 350 that we rescued from the Craigslist (14010207 block - 80-85 "truck" motor) that I was able to hear run on a test stand and a rebuilt T5 (26 spline) with a warranty and now I've got the job of joining them together ...

I am hoping to keep using a hydraulic master cylinder ( I have Capt'n Fab's brackets and those components)

I was trying to find a kit that covers it all, and I found this :

or this questionable amazon offering :
https://www.amazon.com/ClutchMaxPRO-...evrolet+Camaro

will this kit plus some new flywheel bolts help me bolt this all together?

Is there anything else that I would / should need or does anybody else have any other recommendations?

Its just a clutch kit, any for the application will work.

What Tom said. Just use the clutch kit for the 350. You will likely have to drill out 2 holes on the T5 to mount to bell housing. Other than that it should work.

What do you have now? bell housing, fly wheel, pilot bearing etc. My '54 3100 came with a granny gear cast iron 4 speed. I used every thing except, I replaced the clutch disc with an 11 inch disc for an Astro van. It's the only part I bought. Good info in the above post. I wish I would have had all that info in one place when I did mine.

Right now, I have a 3 speed Saginaw with what I think is the original bell housing I haven't replaced the pilot bearing - I am trying to dig out the old clutch to confirm diameter

If not a "World Class" T5, go easy on her as you are likely right up against the torque limit!
