The building is 70x30. Uninsulated, no power. There is a dividing wall providing a 40 ft (with a ceiling),and a 30ft unfinished side.

I immediately commissioned a friend to wire the shop. As a shop. 200 Amp main with 4 dedicated 220V circuits, 1 20 amp breaker for each wall, 15 amp for lights only.

I also had him install garage door openers on every door, and motion detector LEDs outside

Next we found a working 1946 Philco refrigerator, and I knew it was perfect for the shop!

Then a good friend of mine started petitioning tool manufacturers and telling them my story. I received several care packages. We also decided that a proper bench should be 16ft, and set about extending it. Alex got a new toolbox too.

Then we began the slow process of insulating and putting up plywood and painting

we continued putting things behind the bench. A large sign, pegboard, bluetooth surround sound, 40” LCD hooked up to my laptop to display wiring schematics and such.

Here’s the exterior sign my boys are working on. It’ll be on a dusk till dawn sensor. The divider bar in the back has 4' of green LED on top and 4' of white on the bottom.

And now I’m having an additional 24x40 building constructed to move some of my cars and open up some bay space. It should be finished on Monday.

When I say that we have "closed”, we merely went from being a business to an active hobby until such time as we can employ a full time work force.

We’re also taking bids to extend the shop another 10', making it 30x80. Moving that useless side door to the front and an 8x10 Office just left of the man door.

after nearly 6 years of sitting derelict, exposed to the weather. we finally got the old 8N running and transported it to the shop!

today we built a rack to hold our new steel (my design). not done yet, will finish this week.
