1987 Silverado V10 front windshield molding, black or chrome from the factory ?
I thought is was chrome colored but someone told me it was black.
Any ideas? |

The rubber itself was always black.
The thin locking strip: Silverado = Chrome; Scottsdale and Custom Deluxe were black. If that is what you are asking. K |

Through 1986 models all trucks above the base model windshields had the black molded style with chrome insert and 1987 models GM started using only the black insert through 1991. (CK-VR series). All base models used the molded black rubber one piece without insert. You can check out that "low mileage" post today here that shows that $80k 1987 V10 Silverado shortbox with 60 original miles and as built
with the black insert windshield molding. |
