1949 5 window rear window chrome locking strips - where to get.

Just finished a repaint of the cab. Popped all the glass & decided to add chrome locking strips to the rear 3 windows.

Well, one chrome strip got messed up & I need to replace it. I bought this as part of a whole window rubber kit, but don't need the whole kit - again.

Where can I buy just the Chrome locking strip? The closer (shipping time) to the Northeast, the better. I'm a little wary just getting this from anyone as I've been going though a lot of frustration with some of the well known suppliers....3-5 days before they ship & ridiculous shipping costs.

The guys need this asap - any leads appreciated. Thanks!

...one of the guys at the shop mentioned that.

These are good tips!...and I thank you folks. I think I will be able to come up with something on Monday morning.

BTW, before I looked for this part, I called classicparts.com (they do have the chrome strip) and tried to get a new window regulator and a handle. They said they could ship not do "same day shipping" on Monday as they advertised.

...however, they could (on Monday) ship 2nd day or overnight. Thing is, the cost would range from over $100.00(2 day) to somewhere near $150 (overnight). I went somewhere else and paid $40.00 for 2 day air.

I have a business and have been a UPS and FEDEX daily shipper for over 25 years...I think something is not right here....

Will do! Lots of nice upgrades to the cab: Ezlatches, doors that fit and close flush (amazing) & some modest pinstriping...overall, a nice upgrade.

All finished! (for now) Posted more at the end (page 4) of my build thread. As much improvement in convenience (doors/windows) as appearance. You can get to it at the link below...
