yeah, i got a deal i couldn't pass up... sandblasting of my entire frame, all crossmembers, springs, arms, rear end etc. etc. for only 90 bucks... after all the cleaning and washing I did, it would be fine like it is, but for such a small price, i felt i couldn't pass it up.
snowed here last night, so I won't be able to prime it until it gets warm, so I'm waiting to have it blasted when it's warm so I can prime it right after.

pulled out parts from storage, heater core/blower box, doors, dash panel that has the VIN code on it etc. etc. so I can get that all prepped for primer/paint as well.

Bed is out waiting to be pressure washed as well..

so I'm working on a lot of prep work to get all of the inside of the cab primed/painted so I can get all that out of the way, I want to get this cab back on as soon as possible so it will start looking like a truck again :)
stay tuned...

Well there you go. Good deal. That is hard to pass up. Even though I degreased and power washed mine as well, I am having it blasted too. This guy is $135 and hour and said it should only take him an hour to do it. You just can't pass up things like that. The best thing is that he is coming to me and I am not having to take everything to him. Looking forward to your pics.

Yeah I know the feeling. I have been stripping the cab and buying more parts lately. Just picked up my inner fenders, gas tanks, outer rocker panel and bumper filler panel today. My painter has been dragging his feet lately but hopefully he will pick it up soon. If he would get the frame and a few other things done then I could atleast start putting stuff back on the frame.

I would like to get the tanks, all lines and engine/trans back on the frame before doing anything else. I am about at a stopping point with buying parts until he get the truck painted. Funds are dwindling fast. I will buy my body bushing kit and bolts, bed bolts, sending units and still need to buy a set of heads before I put a freeze on the spending. Then if there is anything left after painting I will go from there. I am just ready to start putting stuff back on the frame and get all that done.

yeah, i'm concentrating on getting all the frame stuff done first before I spend any money on anything else. it's easy to get lost by hopping around from one thing to another. have to prioritize tasks.
once i get the frame all done, that includes all lines, tanks, suspension, etc. etc. then i'll worry about just the cab, then move on to the next item then the next etc.

I hope to have all the frame stuff done this week/weekend if the damn weather would stay warm enough.

stay motivated man

Cool beans man! I am right there with ya. Can't wait to start turning bolts. So you are doing the frame and everything in the Hot Rod Black. Is that a flat paint or does it have a little sheen to it. Maybe I am thinking of something else. Looking forward to the pics.

go to the Kirker website and read up on it, it's a acrylic urethane, can be used instead of primer. it's a smooth satin finish.
i'm going to do epoxy primer + the hot rod black, but it can be used by itself.
real reasonable price too.
you can call Kirker and talk to Kyle, he'll give you all the info on it.
