Might as well call it a project: Pawpaw's S10

Or one of the many he owned. I bought this one from him not long before he passed. Since it has been thru mine and both of my son's hands. Now it's back in mine and I am in the process of turning it into a semi-daily driver. Just learned the hard way that they don't repro flywheel bolts for this truck, had to pull a transmission in the pull a part to get the bolts. Replaced the alternator, u-joints and rear wheel bearings and seals. I rebuilt the front end about 5 years ago (got 25k miles on it) and just put a minor lift to clear 16" rims and all terrains. Plans are to redo the interior, fix the a/c and maybe vinyl rap it, although I do dig the clown show paint.

Found a couple of square body S10s at pullapart and score door panels, a bench seat (the one in it is my son's) and some miscellaneous interior stuff. Ordered the stuff to replace all the window and door seals from LMC and a vinyl floor mat from somewhere else, can't remember where.

I need to get the window seals for mine so the windows stop falling over.

My issue is the constant breeze in my ear when it's cold outside. And of course the glass getting crooked when I try to roll it up.

Guess I get started after work tomorrow with the floor, since the mat arrived today. I ordered it Friday and got the confirmation email yesterday. When I left the house to go to work tonight it was on the porch.

BTW the mat came from Raybuck Auto Body Parts, I'll give a review on it once it's in.

I'm guessing it replaces the carpet?

The carpet was wasted when I sank it trying to get to a kayak launch under a bridge. Probably 90% of it's issues trace back to that day. Water was high enough to fill the door pockets.

Hopefully your floor doesn't look like mine did.

Starting point for insulating the floor and installing vinyl floor mat. Little surface rust, gonna hit with rust converter and cover up.

Got the floor cleaned up and put down some Lowes asphalt backed aluminum tape.

Stopping point today was a stuck roller on the driver's side regulator. Fix that tomorrow and turn some tan plastic gray.

I think so too.

Old dash out in prep to install new one. Got a few wiring repairs tp do and figure out the cruise setup. Got a week to get it back together while I wait on some injectors I ordered to come in. Tuned it up because of crappy gas mileage and it started surging. Thought it might be vacuum related but it turned out to be an injector leaking through.
